Gazebo kits are probably the most common type of installation when
constructing a simple metal gazebo. For larger or more intricate metal gazebos a
custom plan and professional help will likely be the best choice, but for common
back yard gazebos there is a large and varied selection of kits available.
The beauty of these kits are that they can be easily and economically be
installed without the need of a lot of skill and tools. These kits can generally
be considered a "gazebo in a box" that contains all the needed parts and
instructions for a do-it-yourself installation.
Advantages to consider in using a kit over a custom build
gazebo: 1) Large variety of designs allowing
for a great deal of uniqueness. 2) Generally
low cost. 3) Quick
installation. 4) Do-it-yourself
friendly. 5) Replacement parts are usually
readily available.
There are so many suppliers of gazebo kits that one can be found for various
applications and sizes. This variety also means identical gazebos all over the
place is unlikely.
Costs for kits varies largely on the size and design intricacy but prices
range from below $200 to several thousand dollars. Nice functional back yard
style gazebos can be put up quite inexpensively.
Metal Gazebo kits commonly consist of all the metal rails and bars that make
up the framework of the gazebo. These are screwed or bolted together with
supplied parts. Also included are any canvass or netting that may be
incorporated as part of the gazebo. Gazebos are often assembled on open ground
and flooring is not usually part of a kit. This optional feature is usually left
up to the customer to decide if he wants to place to gazebo on a pad or
deck.
When assembling a kit there are two advisable suggestions: 1)
Read the entire instructions prior to starting. 2) They are best
assembled with at least two persons since the parts are quite lengthy and high
when put together.
Both of these steps will ensure the quickest and easiest
installation.
